Friday Fish: Lobotes surinamensis

The Atlantic tripletail, another fish from a relatively small family. One genus, and only two species. I wanted to put up L. pacificus, but I was once again thwarted by the few pictures out there. Oh well, still a pretty fishy, in my opinion.

I'm glad I'm not the only geek with a Friday theme post. I like the fishes. My Friday Fossil Post this week is a fish (at http://fishfeet2007.blogspot.com/2007/03/fridays-mystery-fossil_23.html)

Any guesses?

Hi Sarda, and welcome.

Friday (animal) theme posts are not uncommon in the blogosphere - I started mine partly in resonse to PZ Myer's Friday Cephalopod feature over at Pharyngula. I've also encountered several, er, fluffier blogs with Friday Cat-Blogging themes. Apparently, there's a bit of a guideline or rule in the blogosphere that if you own a cat, you must post pictures of your cat on you blog.

I put up a guess over at your Friday Fossil, but I really have no idea. I like your blog, and I've bookmarked it.
