Another one of the fairly obscure South American catfishes, a bumblebee catfish in the family Pseudopimelodidae. Apparently, some people keep these as pets. According to Wikipedia, this species is found in rivers and streams in Venezuela, suggesting it may co-occur and prey upon guppies (Poecilia reticulata) and similar small fish.

What a majestically ugly fish. It's like it's swimming around saying, "hey look, I'm ugly but I'm still stylin'". Got to respect that. Great fish this week.
Any idea how it tastes?
I suppose it's true that if you're that fugly, you might as well be loud and proud with it.
I have no idea how it tastes, but I'd guess much like other catfishes.
